After 23 years of study, initiation and immersion in African music, Chris Berry has been recognized as one the worlds leading practitioners of African Music and Dance. Recognized as a master musician and spirit caller in several African countries, Chris has embarked on an international journey to share the ancient knowledge of NJinji.

NJinJi

(An intense energetic field created by interweaving rhythms, melodies and harmonies that evokes dance, healing and elevated emotional states).

Healing music and dance is one of Africas most ancient and revered artforms. Rhythms, dance and song have been combined for thousands of years to create an extremely harmonious state often referred to as Njinji.

Simply put Njinji is a series of rhythms dances and songs that are accompanied by simple intention from the participants. The songs, Rhythms and dances are all placed together in a particular way that is most conducive to creating Njinji.

Chris has been advised by many of Zimbabwes ancestral spirits and their mediums that now is the time to convey this ancient knowledge to the rest of the world. The hope is that communities around the globe will themselves become practitioners of this healing artform and use it as a means of strengthening themselves and their communities.
