What's On - Drum Making

Making your own genuine African drum is a very mediatative and hands on experience and a great reward to know you have made it! And dont worry, we make sure you get a great drum as we guide you with lots of patience and good advice! You choose your drum shell, skin and rope then are led through the stages of preparation, roping, skinning, tuning and finishing. Runs over Saturdays on 2 weekends.

Choose from a huge selection of Djembe drums (hand drums), Bougaraboos (hand drums) & Dun Duns (bass drums) from Mali, Guinea, Burkina Faso, Ivory Coast and Ghana. Visit our drum shop for full details

Pricing: The cost of the workshop is the same cost as the drum! Prices start from $400 for a medium djembe.

What's On - Retreats

We offer weekend to week long retreats to enliven the senses and invigorate the soul. You'll discover a deeper sense of rhythm, meet new friends and feel completely liberated!

As well as learning African rhythms you'll also enjoy faciltated free jams where you can tap into your own intuitive rhythms (yes, you have them!) and feel what it's like to really connect with people...always an amazing experience! What's On - Student Performances / Special Events

As part of our community drumming courses we create special student performances where sometimes 100's of drummers come together in rhythm! Each student is invited to join in a huge drumming performance! You will be drumming along absolute beginners to professional percussionists. The events may be just drumming or jam packed with amazing percussion shows, African drumming, beautiful dancers & more. So come together to make music and express yourself in rhythm!
