Our Approach

The InRhythm Method

The most memorable learning happens when people participate.

Developed and refined through more than two decades of work in schools, workplaces, conferences and community settings, the InRhythm Method brings together four interconnected elements.

Rhythm

A simple, accessible medium that helps people listen, coordinate and participate together.

Participation

Inclusive experiences where every person can contribute without needing previous musical ability.

Presence

Mindful rhythm and grounding practices that help groups arrive, settle and become more attentive.

Practical Facilitation

Adaptable structures, non-verbal techniques and resources that can be used in real-world settings.

Rather than focusing primarily on musical performance, this approach helps facilitators create safe, inclusive and memorable shared experiences that support genuine human connection.

What You Will Become Capable of Creating

Through hands-on drumming, body percussion, mindful rhythm, reflection and guided facilitation practice, you will develop the confidence to create:

• Engaging drum circles and rhythm sessions that participants can confidently join

• Safe and inclusive environments where people feel welcomed and involved

• Mindful rhythm experiences that help groups settle, focus and become present

• Participatory learning experiences for schools and education settings

• Wellbeing and community sessions that encourage regulation and connection

• Workplace and conference experiences that energise groups and shift group dynamics

Take the Skills Into Your Own Setting

The program provides adaptable structures for both ongoing rhythm programs and shorter one-off group experiences.

Structured 8-Week Programs

A progressive format for developing rhythm, confidence, creativity, mindful presence and group connection over time.

Suitable for schools, community groups, wellbeing programs, disability services and ongoing participant groups.

One-Off Group Experiences

Flexible structures for energising groups, supporting connection and creating memorable shared experiences.

Suitable for staff professional development, conferences, school wellbeing days, youth programs and community events.

Mindfulness, Grounding & Meditative Rhythm

Rhythm can be energising, but it can also become a powerful tool for stillness, embodied attention and mindful awareness.

You will experience practical ways to use repetition, breath, listening, silence and shared rhythm to help groups become more present, regulated and connected before deeper participation or learning begins.

These approaches are accessible and adaptable rather than clinical, and can be incorporated naturally into educational, workplace, counselling, wellbeing and community settings.

Practical Resources to Keep Using After the Weekend

✔ Comprehensive facilitator manual and workbook

✔ Detailed 8-week program framework

✔ One-off session templates

✔ Rhythm notation and facilitation charts

✔ Audio backing tracks to support facilitation

✔ Body percussion and mindful rhythm activities

✔ Access to online facilitator resources

✔ Ongoing connection with the InRhythm training community
