Drumming is great for you! It feeds the mind, body and spirit!

From the raising of your arms and hands, the rhythm of your breath to the rhythmic swaying of your body, drumming offers of a full mind, body and soulful experience. When we beat a drum we align ourselves to the present moment. When we do it in a group we align as one. It is here that we can truly find ourselves...and why not have a lot of FUN doing it!

Our aim is to bring awareness to groups of people that true wealth and power lies in the fact that we are all connected. In this knowledge we can make great things happen. Our aim is to create empowered, connected and awakened people and groups.

By showing that we are all connected, through the simply powerful experience of being in rhythm, we see that what we do individually affects everyone and every living thing around us. When we truly realise that we are all connected, we can make life changes that support sustainability…in people, in companies and in turn a sustainable world. By encouraging this realisation in individuals it flows that the organisations and companies will benefit greatly.

InRhythm events are held Australia & Asia wide.

Creating harmony in mind, body & spirit

Drumming and rhythm based activities are simply good for you. Why is this? We are ultimately rhythmic beings and we respond to that which we are. We are made of vibration (rhythm) on every level of our being; From the beating of our hearts, to the rhythms of our universe, to the cells within our body. In the end there is only vibration. It’s for this very same reason that we all like music.

Health benefits of group drumming within the workplace: ( these benefit work on an individual and community level)

  • Relaxation / Meditation The act of drumming serves as a natural relaxant by lowering the levels of stress hormones in the blood. It also allows people to go beyond their “thinking” mind and into a deeper state of relaxation. This is extremely healthy and refreshing and promotes sustainability in the workforce.
  • Energising From an individual health point of view, drumming increases the endorphins in our bloodstreams serving to energise and refresh the drummer. Participants in even a short drum session report feelings of even mild euphoria.
  • Focus Being in the rhythm allows people to focus with ease It naturally aligns people to the present moment and into a state of focus.
  • Communication / Social interaction Drumming helps build non-verbal communication skills like eye contact and body language. By breaking out of their "personal space" and interact with others, participants can learn to "let go" of unnecessary boundaries and into a state of wellbeing.
  • Emotional release Drumming allows us to rebuild emotional health. Therapeutic rhythms allow emotions to release through the positively altering the natural vibration of cells within the body.
  • Physical toning Drumming is an excellent workout. It works both aerobically and anaerobically to simultaneously tone and strengthen the body.
  • Community support Group drumming aligns a group of people as one to form a strong community through the power of entrainment. Entrainment refers to the synchronization of one person’s rhythm to the rhythms of those around them. Entrainment naturally creates community, wellbeing and social interaction.
  • Creativity Drumming promotes creativity through lateral thinking. Drumming allows both the left (lateral) and right (logical) sides of the brain to interact thus allowing effective problem solving and creative thinking.
  • Personal empowerment Group drumming allows people to feel a sense of belonging and purpose as they contribute to he whole. It’s a powerful way to build confidence levels and motivate.
  • Self Expression We create a safe and supportive environment in our drum and music circles so that people can express themselves non-verbally and receive peer reinforcement.
  • Cognitive / Sequencing Our drum and music circles stimulate thinking and conversation. They also help reinforce short and long term memory recall.
